Refund and Cancellation Policy

Airport Chauffeurs Reading is committed to providing a fair and transparent refund and cancellation policy for our customers. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations, and is designed to ensure that our customers are aware of their rights and responsibilities when booking our services.

 

Refund Policy

As our payment terms explain, we typically only take payment after completion of a journey. In the event that a refund is required, we will consider each case on an individual basis. If you have any complaints regarding the service, please contact us on our telephone number as shown in the app and on our webpage.

 

Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change, and we offer a flexible cancellation policy to accommodate our customers’ needs. Regardless of whether you made your reservation online, via mobile app, or by contacting us through our telephone numbers, you can cancel your booking by contacting us as soon as possible.

 

Cancellation Charges

The following cancellation charges apply:

  • No penalty charge: If you cancel your booking before the booking time, you will not incur a penalty charge.
  • 10% deduction: If you cancel your booking within 7 days of making the booking, we reserve the right to deduct 10% from the pre-paid fare when refunding the amount to you.
  • 20% cancellation charge: If you cancel your booking within 12 hours of the pickup time, we shall charge 20% of the fare.
  • Up to 50% penalty: In exceptional circumstances, a penalty of up to 50% of the fare can be levied for late cancellations within 7 days of the original booking date.

 

Cancellation Procedure

To cancel your booking, please contact us on our telephone number 01189-212212 and speak with our telephone staff. A cancellation is only effective once you have received an email confirmation to the effect.

 

Refund Procedure

Refunds to credit/debit cards can only be refunded to the original card used within 7 days of the original booking date. Refunds made by cheque can only be made out to the customer’s name that made the original booking, and will be posted to the customer within 5 days of the original booking date.

 

Liability

Airport Chauffeurs Reading reserves the right to cancel all services and provide up to 100% of the refunds (within 7 days of the original booking date) in the event of circumstances beyond our control. If a car breaks down during the journey, we will provide an alternative with a practical time allowance.

 

Termination

No refunds will be given for journeys terminated part way through the hire. The full fare will be due to the driver and/or an invoice will be issued if the journey is not pre-paid.

We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
